Privacy Policy

Team Tasks ("the Service") is operated by AOS Construction Software LLC ("we", "us"). The Service is currently a private beta. This policy explains what data we actually collect today, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions: support@team-tasks.io.
Information we collect
- Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier. We only accept a Google-verified email.
- Google Tasks data. With your permission we read your Google Tasks lists and tasks, and write changes back, so personal and shared boards stay in sync.
- Content you create in the Service. Workspaces, boards, columns, tasks (title, notes, due date, status, position), assignees, memberships and roles, invite records, and activity history.
- Technical data. Session cookies required to keep you signed in, and standard server logs. This marketing site uses Umami for anonymous, aggregated page statistics — it sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. We use no advertising trackers.
We do not currently collect Google Calendar data, payment information, uploaded files, inbound email, or product analytics beyond the marketing-site Umami script above.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: Google sign-in, two-way Tasks sync, shared boards, assignees, workspaces, and roles.
- To let workspace admins invite people by a copied link (we do not send invitation email yet).
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug errors, and provide support.
Google user data — Limited Use. Team Tasks' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Tasks data only to provide the user-facing features described above. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it except as necessary to provide those features, for security, or to comply with law. Humans do not read this data except with your permission for support, for security and abuse investigation, or where required by law.
How data is stored and protected
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Google OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Each workspace's data is isolated with database row-level security.
- The Service is hosted on Render (United States), where application data is stored. We do not currently store user file uploads.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Data is shared only with the providers that run the product today — Render (hosting and database), Umami (privacy-focused analytics on this marketing site), and Google (sign-in and the Tasks API you connect) — and where required by law. Content you put in a shared workspace is visible to that workspace's members.
Retention and deletion
- Your tasks live in your Google account regardless of the Service — disconnecting never takes them away from Google.
- You can revoke the Service's Google access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; sync stops and we delete the stored tokens for that account.
- There is no self-serve export or account-delete page yet. Email support@team-tasks.io to request a copy of your Team Tasks data or deletion of your account and workspaces you solely own. We acknowledge within 3 business days and fulfil within 30 calendar days, subject to legal retention duties. Database backups may retain deleted data until the backup window lapses.
- Deleted tasks in the app are soft-deleted. Workspace activity remains until the workspace is removed.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting support@team-tasks.io. Depending on where you live, local law may grant you additional rights — including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests, or lodging a complaint with your supervisory authority — which we will honor.
Children
The Service is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
