Privacy Policy

Team Tasks ("the Service") is operated by AOS Construction Software LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the Service collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions any time: support@team-tasks.io.

Information we collect

Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier.
Google Tasks data. The core of the Service: with your permission we read your Google Tasks lists and tasks, and write changes back, to keep your tasks and your team's boards in sync.
Google Calendar data (optional, read-only). Only if you connect the calendar view, we read your calendar events to display them alongside your tasks. We never create, change, or delete calendar events.
Content you create in the Service. Workspaces, boards, task details, assignments, comments, labels, and activity history.
Email you send to task addresses. If your workspace enables email-to-task, messages sent to a board's inbound address (subject, body, sender) become tasks.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and seat count — we never see or store card numbers.
Technical data. Session cookies required to keep you signed in, and standard server logs. We use no advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

How we use information

To provide the Service: syncing with Google Tasks, shared boards, assignments, comments, and reporting.
To send notifications you've enabled — assignment, @mention, and due-date alerts by email or web push — and workspace invitations.
To bill workspaces with a paid subscription.
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and provide support.

Google user data — Limited Use. Team Tasks' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we use Google Tasks and Google Calendar data only to provide the user-facing features described above; we do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it except as necessary to provide those features, for security, or to comply with law. Humans do not read this data except with your permission for support, for security and abuse investigation, or where required by law.

How data is stored and protected

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
Google OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Each workspace's data is isolated with database row-level security.
The Service is hosted on Render (United States), where application data is stored.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Data is shared only with the service providers that run the product — Render (hosting), Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), and Google (the APIs you connect) — and where required by law. Content you put in a shared workspace is visible to that workspace's members, and boards you explicitly share with a guest are visible to that guest.

Retention and deletion

Your tasks live in your Google account regardless of the Service — disconnecting never takes them away.
You can revoke the Service's Google access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; sync stops immediately and we delete the stored tokens for that account.
Deleting a workspace deletes its boards, comments, labels, and activity from the Service.
To delete your account entirely, email support@team-tasks.io and we'll remove your data within 30 days, subject to legal retention duties.

Your rights

You may request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@team-tasks.io. Depending on where you live, local law may grant you additional rights, which we will honor.

Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
