Frequently asked questions

How much does Team Tasks cost?

Companies of up to 3 members are free, with every feature except the API add-on. When a 4th member joins, a 14-day free trial starts with no credit card required. After that it is $2 per user per month, billed per company with a $10 monthly minimum, so $10 a month covers up to 5 people. Guests on shared boards are free and do not count as members. REST API access is an optional $20 a month add-on.

How do I cancel my subscription?

A company owner or admin opens the company's Billing page in Team Tasks and clicks Manage billing (invoices & card). That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel, update the card, and download invoices and receipts.

What happens when the free trial ends?

If no payment method has been added, the company is locked. Your boards, tasks, and sync state are all kept, and an owner or admin can unlock the company at any time by adding a payment method on the Billing page. Your tasks in Google Tasks are never affected.

What Google permissions does Team Tasks ask for?

Google sign-in (your name, email, and photo) and read/write access to Google Tasks. Only if you turn on the calendar overlay does it also ask for read-only access to events on Google Calendars you own; those events are displayed, not stored, and never changed. Team Tasks never asks for Gmail or Google Drive access.

If I stop using Team Tasks, do I lose my tasks?

No. Tasks on Google-synced boards are real Google Tasks in your Google account, and they stay there. Assignees, comments, and labels only exist in Team Tasks, so download a copy first: open Settings and click Download my data to get a JSON file of your data.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings from your avatar menu, go to Delete account, type your email address to confirm, and click Delete my account. If you are the only owner of a company or department, make someone else an owner first. Deleting your Team Tasks account does not delete anything from Google Tasks.

Is there a Gmail or Google Calendar add-on?

Not yet. Team Tasks is a web app at app.team-tasks.io that you can install from your browser, and it works offline. Because your tasks stay in Google Tasks, you and your teammates still see them in the Google Tasks side panel in Gmail and Calendar and in the Google Tasks mobile apps.

Where is the API documentation?

The REST API for departments, boards, and tasks is documented at docs.team-tasks.io. API access is an add-on for companies on a paid plan.
